Friends Who Care Charities Ltd (FWC) is a registered Canadian non-profit organization (Charity number 86309 9420 RR0001) incorporated in 2002 and registered as a non-profit Canadian organization in 2003. We are also known as Friends Who Care International.

Rod and Ingrid McCarroll are Directors of Friends Who Care International and are responsible for the overall daily operation of the charity.

Our purpose is to provide education and assistance to individuals, families and entire communities to improve their lifestyle and defeat poverty.

Our approach is ABCD – Asset Based Community Development. We identify the assets, skills and talents of local people in the majority world and work together with them providing education and hands on training to improve these assets.

We also provide teaching in good hygiene, sanitation and cleanliness. We believe improved health and quality of life can be achieved by empowering communities to take responsibility for their own future. Clean water, proper sanitation and hygiene are important steps in improving lifestyle.

Friends Who Care International offers English as a Second language (ESL) courses. Rod and Ingrid both are certified and hold a certificate recognized world wide. We provide English language courses to those children and young adults as a free ministry for those that could never afford this type of education.
